The County Board has honored the Platinum Level Champions’ efforts to encourage the use of public transit, biking and walking as means of transportation.
The Arlington County Board has approved a use permit request from Arlington Public Schools for a 40,000 square foot addition to the existing Stratford School at 4100 Vacation Lane.
The Arlington County Board will consider a Use Permit requested by Arlington Public Schools for the renovation of the Stratford School building on Vacation Lane.
The Board took several actions in a coordinated effort to enact the vision outlined in the Western Rosslyn Area Plan (WRAP). The approval of several use permits and site plans will deliver a new school, new fire station, transportation network improvements, parks and open space, affordable housing, retail and new residential space to the Western Rosslyn community by 2021.

The County Board today approved changes to the Zoning Ordinance that give the Board the authority, subject to use permit approval, to modify height and setback requirements and revise existing provisions for allowing the Board to approve modifications in parking requirements for elementary, middle and high schools.
The Board meeting will be broadcast live on cable television and webstreamed.
