Friday morning, May 31st, the Arlington County Sheriff's Office was notified of the arrest of Deputy Craig Patterson. At this time, Deputy Patterson has been placed on unpaid administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation. The Sheriff's Office will continue to cooperate with the Alexandria Police Department in their investigation.
The 59th Inauguration of the President of the United States will take place on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. The Police Department will deploy increased police resources in Arlington County, to include both visible and non-visible assets, leading up to and during Inauguration Day.
