ROBBERY, 2021-02190146, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 7:45 p.m. on February 19, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect entered a business and began to attempt to conceal merchandise on his person. The victim confronted the suspect, who then pushed past her and fled the business prior to police arrival. The victim was not injured. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’7”, wearing a silver jacket, blue jeans, a black backpack, and white shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2021-02200125, 1600 block of McKinley Road. At approximately 2:29 p.m. on February 20, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim observed the male suspect enter a construction site and steal building supplies. The victim confronted the suspect, who then left the scene, but returned two subsequent times to retrieve forgotten items. The suspect is described as Black male, 5’10”-5’11”, wearing black pants, a black jacket with a grey hoodie underneath, and a black mask. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2021-02210087, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 11:23 a.m. on February 21, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined at approximately 11:00 a.m., the suspect gained entry to a business and stole items of value, then fled prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, wearing a white t-shirt, blue hoodie, long black jacket, light washed jeans, a black belt, and a scarf around his head. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 2021-02210155, 2600 block of Franklin Road. At approximately 7:30 p.m. on February 19, police were dispatched to the report of an attempted burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victims returned home and observed that an unknown suspect(s) attempted to force entry to a residence unsuccessfully, causing damage. Nothing was reported stolen from the residence. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
