BURGLARY, 2021-05120026, 500 block of 23rd Street S. At approximately 4:38 a.m. on May 12, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that the unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a business by smashing the glass door and stole a cash register containing an undisclosed amount of cash. There are no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 2021-05120031/05120032, 2700 block of Washington Boulevard/5100 block of Lee Highway. At approximately 4:58 a.m. on May 12, police were dispatched to the report a burglary alarm. Upon arrival, officers located signs of attempted forced entry at a business in the 2700 block of Washington Boulevard. While conducting additional checks of businesses in the county, officers located signs of attempted forced entry at a business in the 5100 block of Lee Highway. At both locations, entry was not gained by the suspect(s) and nothing was reported stolen. There are no suspect(s) descriptions. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2021-05110039, 2600 block of S. Kenmore Court. At approximately 8:55 a.m. on May 11, police were dispatched to the report of a grand larceny auto. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 6:00 p.m. on May 10 and 8:55 a.m. on May 11, the suspect(s) gained entry into the victim’s open garage and stole the keys to his vehicle that was located outside of the garage. The stolen vehicle is described as a 2020 Ford Explorer with Virginia tags XFA8825. No other items were reported damaged or stolen. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
