The Northern Virginia Transportation Commission today appointed Arlington County Vice Chair Christian Dorsey as one of Virginia’s two principal members on the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority Board of Directors
“This appointment is great news for the region,” Arlington County Board Chair Katie Cristol said. “In appointing Mr. Dorsey, NVTC is acknowledging the excellent work he has done as an alternate member on the Metro Board, and his ability to work collaboratively with our fellow jurisdictions for the benefit of transit riders across Northern Virginia.”
Dorsey has served as an alternate on the WMATA board since 2016. He assumes the term of Fairfax County Supervisor Cathy Hudgins, which expires in 2021.
