The deadline for pre-registering for the County Board’s virtual public hearing on the Manager’s Proposed Fiscal Year 2021 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) has been extended to 8 p.m. Tues., June 30 — the night of the public hearing.
The proposed $277.5 million one-year CIP is the County’s funding plan for infrastructure and facilities.
Online registration is open now. Pre-registration is required to provide comments at the hearing.
The hearing will begin at 7 p.m. on Tues., June 30. To register to speak, visit the County Board website. The public hearing will be live-streamed on the County website and Arlington Television’s YouTube Channel and broadcast on Verizon FiOs Channels 39 and 40 and Comcast Xfinity 25. There will be no in-person participation.
To submit a written comment on the Proposed CIP, email the County Board at CountyBoard@arlingtonva.us. All comments will be made part of the public record for the Proposed CIP and will be considered by the County Board during its deliberations.
The Board held a joint virtual work session with Arlington Public Schools on the Proposed CIP June 23. The Board will hold a work session with the County Manager on the Proposed CIP at 3 p.m. July 9. The work session will be live-streamed on the County website and Arlington Television’s YouTube channel and broadcast live on Verizon FiOs Channels 39 and 40 and Comcast Xfinity 25.
The Board will adopt the FY 2021 CIP at its July 18, 2020, Regular County Board Meeting. The 2021 Fiscal Year will begin July 1, 2020.
