Updated 11-20-2015: Revisions to reflect that GW MFA is moving its Northern Virginia office, not its headquarters.
- Largest independent physician network in the D.C. metro area
- Will occupy 50,000 square feet of office space
- Expected to create more than 200 jobs in the first year
Arlington Economic Development is proud to welcome The GW Medical Faculty Associates to Arlington. The largest independent physician network in the D.C. area with more than 750 providers, The GW Medical Faculty Associates has chosen Arlington’s 3811 North Fairfax Drive as its new location. The company, which will be relocating from Washington, D.C., is expected to occupy 50,000 square feet of office space in the building and will create more than 200 new jobs in the first year. The GW Medical Faculty Associates expect to move to Arlington in March 2016.
“The GW Medical Faculty Associates will bring not only excellent healthcare services to Arlington and the Northern Virginia region, but also excellent job opportunities for our community,” said Victor Hoskins, Director of Arlington Economic Development. “We are thrilled they will be taking advantage of Arlington’s attributes and amenities and look forward to working with them.” Arlington Economic Development staff worked with The GW Medical Faculty Associates and its business partners throughout the process to secure the ideal location that met the company and its employees’ needs in a workspace.
“We are very optimistic about our company’s future in Arlington,” said The GW Medical Faculty Associates Chief Financial Officer Kenneth Marter. “We’ve been looking to expand our presence throughout the region, and we believe locating in Arlington will help bring tremendous growth potential for our company while at the same time providing an excellent available workforce and many transportation options for our employees.”
“After an extensive search of numerous submarkets and consideration of critical factors including commuting patterns, public transportation, amenities, and economics, Arlington presented the most compelling opportunity for the organization to relocate its critical back office and administrative functions,” added Adam Schindler, Senior Vice President of Serten Advisors, which brokered the deal.
