ARLINGTON, Va. – The Clarendon-Courthouse Mardi Gras Parade will take place on Tuesday, February 13th, 2018. The festivities start at 7:00 PM, requiring early road closures that may affect the evening rush hour commute. Arlington County Police will prohibit vehicular traffic at the following locations to accommodate this event:
- Wilson Blvd., from Veitch St. to Barton St., will be closed from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM
- Adams St. and Wayne St., between Clarendon Blvd. and Wilson Blvd., will be closed from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM
- Wilson Blvd. from Barton St. to Irving St. will be closed from 6:45 PM to 9:30 PM
Attendees are encouraged to use Metro or other transportation services, as parking in the area will be limited.
In addition to the road closures, street parking in the area will be restricted. Motorists should be on the lookout for temporary “No Parking” signs, illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed. If your vehicle is towed from a public street, call the Emergency Communication Center at 703-558-2222.
